Guided by our skilled instructor, you will test your core strength while paddling through amazing kelp beds along our shoreline. Gliding above the kelp forest, an endless eco-system often referred to as an underwater rainforest, you will have a unique view of the ever-changing ocean landscape. You’ll have the best seat in the house!

Whale Watching Tour

Tour our local harbor and the Pacific coastline while searching for whales and other sea life. Experienced captains offer comprehensive narration and information about whale migration. Whale watching season for Gray whales spans from December to May. Humpback and Blue whales migrate during the summer months from June to late September. This is an off-site activity.

Guided Kayak Tide Pool Adventure at Terranea

Experience tide pooling in a whole new way! You'll begin and end your tour with a robust paddle to reach Sacred Cove, an outstanding tide pool located approximately two miles east of the resort. After landing at Sacred Cove, spend an hour investigating the wildlife and natural formations before paddling back to Terranea's Beach Cove. The tour covers the normal paddling distance of our traditional guided tour, so expect to see some wildlife along the way!
