VP Digital Commerce
Michelle Cutter leads REI’s e-commerce and gear & apparel teams, which include Product Management, Digital Merchandising, UX/Site Operations, Digital Analytics and Mobile App teams. She is responsible for defining the digital eCommerce strategy and roadmap to achieve demand targets while delivering on REI’s brand promise and customer experience.

Cutter joined the co-op in November of 2019. Prior to joining the co-op, she has led the digital divisions at Theory, Tory Burch, and Tumi, where she was responsible for the global digital vision as well as eCommerce, Technology, Digital Marketing and CRM strategies for these brands. Cutter has been a start-up advisor as well as a founder of her own digital consultancy. In 2022, Cutter was named a Top 50 Women in Retail by Retail Dive.

Cutter earned her MBA at NYU’s Stern School of Business in Marketing and Management and her undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a Board member and Chair of Leave No Trace. She is a sought-after speaker and panelist at conferences, specifically in the digital marketing and commerce space.
